Technical info
Technically speaking, TAcTIS consists of online services applications and applications for administration.
TAcTIS On Line is an IIS (Internet Information Services) v 5.0 application using both HTML pages and VB compiled code that implements web classes.
The application is based on a web server receiving requests from a browser; the server executes the code associated to these requests producing HTML pages back for the browser.
TAcTIS Manager is a VB application allowing both basic data (customers, products, etc.) configuration and sales analysis by creating visits/order progress charts related to a certain period. TAcTIS Manager is especially designed for daily information management and bulk data entry operations.
TAcTIS On-Line Manager is an ASP application for both basic data (customers, products, etc.) configuration and sales analysis. TAcTIS On-Line Manager is designed for configuration refinement.
Development of this application is now in progress.
All the applications use SQL Server 2000 for data storage.
