go! is a new-generation integrated system for the management and control of transfer machines.

Created for IMAS Transfer S.p.A. (www.imastransfer.com), go! is conceived as to give the operator a simple and homogeneous graphic interface to access the different featured functions.

go! is a modular system. Following are the modules available at the moment:

- diagnostics
- production planning
- aided programming
- preventative maintenance
- technical documentation

All functions pass under security control: only authorized operators gain access to critical functions.

Thanks to its client/server architecture, the system allows activity control both from a near-machine position and from remote terminals.

go! was designed to manage GE-Fanuc's CNC panel-based machines, but can do the same with any other device holding to the OPC standard.

diagnostics

Error zone identification. Gives the user a complete resolution process using an effective interface that allows a quick browsing through text description and graphic representation of the current I/O state.
Alarms historical available on-line.

production
planning

Allows creation of production lists and subsequent automatic list optimization to reduce setup change time. The system does move all part-programs needed for the production. It then updates the production state compiling run-time statistics about cycle and production lot duration.
Production historical available on-line.

aided
programming

An excellent help feature to write and organize part-programs. Included are: a rich-editor allowing instructions drag&drop, a graphic parameter-entry interface, version management, a contextual link to the CNC producer manual. Programs can either be stored in a local database or be modified directly on CNCs. CNCs themselves are shown as network devices, as it happens while browsing network discs with Windows Explorer.
Configurations (group of programs distributed over different CNCs) can be created and moved to CNCs and back. This way those various programs needed to produce a specific mechanical part may be managed as a single unit.

preventive
maintenance

Maintenance planning based on a group of maintenance forms. Forms can be activated either following a standard time schedule or basing on system-managed counters (transfer machine working hours, finished parts). When the maintenance event occurs, the system guides the operator through all the needed maintenance activities, using a graphic interface, text instructions, video and audio files.
All maintenance operations are stored in the Historical file, always available on-line.

technical
documentation

The whole technical documentation concerning the transfer machine is stored in this environment. Included are: operator's manual, mechanical and electric drawings, BOM, and a user manual of the go! system.
Each documentation features a proper search function to find specific parts and technical drawings.
