Simplify and monitor the policy quotation process.

We helped Cattolica Assicurazioni develop Quotti, a cross-device web app designed with a dual purpose: to facilitate the activities of Cattolica agents and to monitor their progress in real time. From a one-to-one marketing perspective, Quotti serves as a tool that enables agents to interact with users and create tailored insurance proposals.

Who is Cattolica Assicurazioni?

Cattolica Assicurazioni is a cooperative company leading one of the largest insurance groups in Italy. With over 1,500 agencies across the country, Cattolica primarily serves individuals, families, and small to medium-sized businesses.

Research

To assist the Product Owner and the team in defining the project and its objectives, and to create a shared vision with the entire team, we used the Vision and Product Canvas as our guiding framework. The research phase then focused on analyzing the three main users of the application: the agent, the collaborator, and the agency manager.

The metrics identified to measure the achievement of objectives were the percentage of quotations completed and the percentage of policies issued.

Once the information about the three main users was gathered, the research focused on identifying their journeys and their interactions during agency activities and customer sales processes.

Ui and development

The user interface was designed for cross-device use on both PCs and tablets. The reference guideline for UI design was Google’s Material Design.

The development process followed two-week Scrum sprints, with designers working one sprint ahead of the developers.

Each UI was then transformed by our frontend designer into HTML components, ready to be integrated by Cattolica’s developers in the following sprint.

Iconography

For Quotti, we developed a new, unified iconographic language where icons not only serve a functional purpose but also reinforce the product’s visual identity.

Each icon features a dark “outline” skeleton filled with colored areas aligned with the brand palette.

Results

Quotti has recently been fully deployed across Cattolica’s agencies, introducing the ability to work across devices and track daily quotation and policy issuance activities.

Meanwhile, the project has evolved—building on Quotti B2B, we are now developing Cattolica’s first cross-device B2C insurance quote tool.
